Blue Cut

Recent Midwest finalist of the Mountain Stage New Song contest, Blue Cut is a father/daughter/son acoustic trio from Bloomington, Indiana. They play an eclectic mix of Roots music ranging from Old Crow Medicine Show and Robert Johnson covers to their own mix of originals. Jacob is 14, and already a crowd-stopping mandolin player, as well as a soulful harpist. Bethany, who is 17 and plays upright bass and bass guitar with incredibly sweet vocals, not to mention having a contagious zest for life. Michael plays guitar and forks out the money for gear. Together, they form one of the most entertaining combos you will have the pleasure to see.

J Cameron Hall

The lights dim, J.Cameron takes the stage and positions himself for a slingshot intro that takes newcomers by surprise. Hard to believe that equal parts energy and emotion pours from hard hitting hooks that swell with a lively “look at me authority”. Hands and strings take the beat and roll the melody with a sharp folk rock style that would be enough to draw a second look from passers by, and then… he sings! Influenced by the likes of Led Zepplin, Chris Cornell, David Grey and a vinyl collection the would take two men, four trips to move, J.Cameron rolls gravelly rock choruses through blatantly subtle lyrics, so the you hurt when he hurts. You love when he loves and where you scream the anthems as though they were you own thoughts plundered and poured out from a pirate source. In a series of deft movments J.Cameron squeezes an entire band out of a single acoustic guitar. Six strings and a full hollow body get a velvet aggressive touch that pulses with a passionate accord to reveal that he is happy in his hurt. Having dealt with his own demons, the lessons have been learned by being tossed from both sides of the track. Poverty has taught humility and luxury has produced compassion. J.Cameron writes songs that are not black and white in meaning. The intended message is there but the underlying ambiguity allows each listener to own the song at that particular time for a full three to four minutes. His songs are written from the middle of the road where he believes there is a song in everything but everything cannot be in a song. J.Cameron has begun each leg of his music career with small goals. After practice, practice, practice and many late nights where the mornings found him clutching his guitar as though tethered to the dream world, he succeeded in playing the Carnegie Hall of his small hometown, Caper’s. This put him on the road to building both recognition and a growing fan base by playing several colleges in Indiana, and all of the best coffee shops. J.Cameron’s unique playing style that puts a strangle hold on pop and distilles it into the universal truth’s that life welds into our souls. Strings break like promises but less violently as after touring Germany the band that he had formed, parted ways. Returning to Southern Indiana to complete his degree and hone in craft you will find him performing each Friday night and living by this simple maxim; “Follow this track it will take you anywhere you want to go.”

The Bonesetters

Bonesetters don't break bone, we mend em'!

"Bonesetters is Dan Snodgrass’s vehicle to take us back to a depression era time in American history and still find the joy in the sorrow. The past six months has seen a perpetually changing lineup in which Mr. Snodgrass is trying to find the ‘right’ match. Bringing elements of brass, Saw, thick electric bass, drums, electric and acoustic guitar; and now even lite touches of electronics he will have ya purring to the sweet introspective sounds of the 30s or dancing to a number from Disney’s Aristocats!" -Travis, Village Green Records

We are just some regular guys from the midwest who have known each other since we were too young to be called teenagers.

This album is about a girl, the one-who-gets-away kind of thing. She was the world. Unbreakable is a collection of songs about the months before and after our break up.

We spent two years recording this album. Thank you for listening, it means so much to us.
