Broad Ripple Music Fest Kickoff Party!
This unique all-reunion bill pays homage to the network of Indiana musicians and bands that Musical Family Tree has worked to keep connected since the early 2000's. It will set the tone for the BRMF main event on Saturday, October 17th.
Presented by NUVO, Musical Family Tree, Small Box Web Design and Transpanther Group.
Johnny Socko (Original Lineup)
Indianapolis / Bloomington based kings of goofy ska / punk that managed to tour 270 days a year in the early 90's. They broke Dave Matthews gear, ate from the Deli trays of the Meat Puppets and charted alongside Elvis Costello. They also wore banana suits.
Mab Lab
A truly unique blend of hip hop, soul and organic chemistry featuring Kate Lamont (Blueprintmusic, Earth House Collective), Eric Brown (Audio Recon), Mike Graves (DJ Dicky Fox, Twilight Sentinels) and Ande Shaul (People vs. Radio).
Nightjar
Nightjar’s sound isn’t a one-trick pony. Their influences range from Otis Redding to classical music, and they find a way to work those disparate influences into their songs seamlessly." - IndianapolisMusic.net
